The Marathon Expo exhibition opened its doors on Thursday for its 8th edition, at the "Porte de Versailles parc des expositions" (hall 5). A mandatory stop for the competitors of the Paris Marathon who will have until Saturday to come and pick up their running bibs.

Marathon Expo is however first and foremost a yearly meeting for the members of the French running scene. With the presence of 65 races in France and abroad, the main sportswear companies and the traditional sponsors (more than 120 stands), the exposition gives a good idea of what the World of running is about.

Marathon Expo is free for everyone :
Thursday 7th of April from 15h to 20h
Friday 8th of April from 10h to 20h
Saturday 9th of April from 9h to 20h
A pasta-party will be organised on Saturday from 15h to 20h for the runners and their relatives.

The International Paris Marathon, which will set off at 8h45 (8h35 for the Handisports race), on the 10th of April next was this morning officially presented at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris in the presence of Bertrand Delanoë, the Mayor of Paris. Joël Lainé, the Director of the International Paris Marathon, announced that participation was voluntarily limited to 35 000 runners, entries being closed since mid January. Read more...
